OXYBENZONE & OCTINOXATE are two chemical UV filters suspected of accelerating coral bleaching. These are two UV filters that are commonly found in many sunscreens and were recently banned under the Hawaiian Coral Treaty. The new Chicco solar formulas are specially designed to protect children’s delicate and sensitive skin while also reducing the impact of the formula on the marine ecosystem.

A SOL-STAINABLE PROTECTION

The new Chicco sunscreens are specifically formulated to protect children’s delicate and sensitive skin, while reducing:

– the impact of the formula on the marine ecosystem, avoiding the use of filters banned by the Hawaii Coral Treaty

– the impact of packaging on the planet, using recycled plastic to make its bottles and tubes

DERMATOLOGICALLY TESTED

All formulas are dermatologically tested on sensitive skin. They are also tested under pediatric supervision. They do not contain alcohol or perfumes and silicones.

FORMULARY PHILOSOPHY AND 3PRO-TECH TECHNOLOGY

Protects against UVA, UVB and IR rays using only mineral filters. Its formula is a water-in-oil emulsion (W/O), in which the water is dispersed within the fat part, thus guaranteeing a particular resistance to water. The emulsifiers used are of natural origin, very suitable for protecting baby’s skin thanks to their delicacy.

VERY HIGH PROTECTION SPF 50 +

Sunscreens for children must guarantee high or very high protection from UVB rays. The UVB protection index is provided by the SPF (Sun Protection Factor) and, to protect children’s sensitive and delicate skin, it is SPF 50 +. All our formulas offer very high sun protection (SPF50+) and protect children’s skin from UVA, UVB and IR rays.

WATER RESISTANT FORMULA

All formulas are designed to protect baby’s sensitive skin even during simple walks in the open air. The cream offers water resistant protection.”
